Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

I photograph cityscapes to capture the shapes and colors, the textures and patterns, and the contrast between new and old. New York City is the perfect venue for urban photography with its dense network of buildings, designed by the world best's architects to reach ever higher into the sky. I love pointing my camera up and capturing the light of the sky reflecting off such iconic buildings. These images are difficult to compose-given the extreme geometry, and difficult to expose-given the harsh contrast of bright and dark illumination. Overcoming these challenges to capture the spirit of the city gives me tremendous satisfaction.
